Ottoman Heritage Series is a collection of 2D visual works exploring how historical references can be reinterpreted through a contemporary graphic language. Rather than reproducing traditional aesthetics directly, I focused on extracting visual characteristics such as ornament, rhythm, symmetry, architectural references, typography, texture, and decorative detail and reorganizing them through modern compositions.

The series became an exercise in balancing historical character with contemporary visual communication. Each piece was treated as an independent composition while remaining connected to a shared visual world through recurring forms, colors, textures, and cultural references.

My focus throughout the work was to preserve a sense of heritage without allowing the visuals to become purely nostalgic or archival. The intention was to create compositions that could feel rooted in a historical visual language while still functioning as modern graphic design.
